Peter Lik Donates Almighty in Support of Local Arts Program

Updated 07/28/2021
In keeping with Peter’s strong connection to arts and culture in Las Vegas, the Master Photographer has once again graciously donated a very fitting Masterwork to one of Sin City’s most well known causes.

The Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT), which exposes thousands of underprivileged students to the art form of dance each year, recently celebrated its 32nd annual Black & White [Charity] Ball at the Wynn on Saturday, January 23rd. During a gala evening of celebrity appearances and special performances, Peter’s Almighty, captured in nearby Red Rock Canyon, was enthusiastically acquired at auction by famed host of the night, Marie Osmond.

Centered on 2016’s NBT Woman of the Year, Olivia Newton-John, this year’s Black & White Ball was a true success – bringing in over $45,000 for the worthy organization. An impressive $5,000 portion of that can be proudly attributed to the auctioning of Peter’s Almighty, which he describes as “capturing the natural beauty surrounding Las Vegas.”

As a huge supporter of art in his local community, Peter is extremely honored to be included in such a wonderful endeavor: “Art is what gives my life purpose and meaning, and it is such an important outlet for all children. I completely respect what the NBT is doing. If my work is helping in some way – well, that is just a great feeling.” Since 1985, the NBT’s Black & White Ball has become known as a high profile event, even touted as the “crème de la crème” of society by Luxury Las Vegas Magazine. This is the second year in a row Peter has donated an image to the cause, and he heartily looks forward to “giving it another go next year!”

Good onya, Pete!
