Updated 07/28/2023

Celebrating a Year of Accomplishment in Fine Art Photography

It has been another incredible year for the Artist, with multiple stunning releases, epic award wins, the launch of his non-profit, The LIK Foundation, and exciting new partnerships with worthy organizations aimed at benefitting our beautiful planet and its precious inhabitants. As 2017 is now upon us, it is time to joyfully reflect on a fruitful, and groundbreaking 12 months in the life of the Master Photographer.

Kicking off 2016 with the January release of Rouge, a vibrant vision of Utah’s winter forest, was only the beginning of many breathtaking landscape images to come – such as MIFA selection, Sacred Arch, instant classic, Island Dreams, and collector favorite, A Sky Full of Stars. To finish the year, Peter launched his anticipated, 35th Anniversary Collection; four amazing editions captured during fall in the American Northwest were unveiled to an audience of fans and collectors around the world.

Meanwhile, acknowledgements from top institutions seemed to flow endlessly, earning the Artist a First Place Impact Award from PPA and a third career title of Master Photographer from MPIO. Perhaps the Artist’s proudest achievement occurred when his exceptional book, Equation of Time – which encompasses a lifetime of shooting, and took years to complete – was awarded the coveted, National GOLD ‘Addy’ from the AAF for its accomplishments in Book Design, adding to the 16 awards and honors it has received to date.

What is The LIK Foundaton?

The most impactful and poignant turn in 2016 came with the Artist’s establishment of The LIK Foundation, created to strengthen Peter’s ongoing efforts to team up with worthy non-profit operations across the globe, such as ONE DROP™ and Friends of Hawaii Charities. Through the sale of his works, these and other causes down the line will have the chance to provide assistance to children, families and individuals in need, highlighting Peter’s mantra: Charity Through Art.

Even this brief review of 2016 uncovers a truly amazing year in the life of a man who continues to be recognized for his incomparable contributions to the world of fine art photography, and simply, to the world: “It’s been a total whirlwind from beginning to end,” Peter remarks. “Thanks to all of my supporters who have made 2016 a magical time I will not forget. I look forward to much more in the new year!” Here’s to another successful 365 days gone by, and the promise of a “magical” 2017!
