Peter Lik to Receive Prestigious ASP Fellowship

Updated 07/28/2021
It is one of the most prominent organizations in the world of professional photography, and it is readying to bestow its highest honor upon acclaimed industry leader, Peter Lik.

During Professional Photographer of America’s upcoming Imaging USA 2016 expo, the American Society of Photographers (ASP) will award Peter with their coveted Fellowship title, given out selectively each year, for exemplary work and aspiring achievement in photography.

Obtaining an ASP Fellowship requires the skill and dedication of a Master Photographer – someone who has passionately devoted their life to capturing some of the world’s most astounding images. Back in July, Peter humbly submitted a 25-piece collection of his most prized photographs to the American Society of Photographers – along with a captivating 2000-word thesis, outlining over 30 years in landscape photography. After the arduous process of being reviewed by a panel of five discerning ASP-approved judges, Peter finally received the good news.

Doran Wilson, Master Photographer and member of ASP’s Fellowship Committee couldn’t be happier to welcome Peter into the exclusive group of only 118 Fellows since the organization’s beginning almost 80 years ago: “Peter’s portfolio was absolutely stunning,” Wilson commented “Some of the judges even wanted to take his work home with them!” A few of Peter’s standout portfolio submissions included his famed works, Drifting Shadows, Secret Morning, Scarlet Moods, and Pele’s Whisper (shown above).

Imaging USA 2016 will take place from January 10 – 12 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Peter will be presented with the ASP Fellowship medallion during its award ceremony in the evening of Monday, January 11: “This is one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments that truly rocks me to my core,” Peter remarked. “It is an honor of indescribable emotions. I am truly thankful for this recognition by such an impressive organization.”

Congrats Pete!
