Spring Arrives at Mandalay Bay with Five New Lik Masterworks

Updated 04/10/2024

Iconic Vegas Location Welcomes Spring 2016 with Stunning Display of Photography by Master Photographer, Peter Lik.

Aside from his multiple successful galleries, there are a few very special locations around Las Vegas that are known for displaying acclaimed selections of Peter’s breathtaking images. Possibly the most bold exhibit of them all is a seasonally rotating collection of EPIC pieces that can be found in the incredibly opulent lobby of Sin City’s popular Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. To kick off spring of 2016, Mandalay has acquired five new epic works from the Artist, currently viewed 24 hours a day by captivated guests and visitors.

In 2015, Peter’s work became a permanently featured showcase overlooking the hotel’s vast front desk area, which greets thousands of patrons each week. Now, joining masterworks Crimson Tide and Eternal Beauty – which have remained lobby fixtures since last year – are collector favorites, Pristine, Painted Shores, Aspen Impressions, Castaway, and sold-out image, The Jetty . These massive landscape portrayals, ranging up to seven and a half feet tall, are the perfect way to set a peaceful tone for all the enthusiastic guests settling in for a much needed vacation or for those just passing through.

Peter, who has had a fruitful relationship with the resort and casino since his successful launch of LIK MANDALAY in 2006, could not be more humbled to have his photographs highlighted in such a prominent location: “The team at Mandalay Bay has always been extremely supportive of me and my work,” Peter remarks. “However, to be included as a continual part of the guest experience is one of the highest compliments I could receive. I hope gazing at these grand images connects every viewer to the amazing power and beauty of Mother Nature.” To see the new collection up close, before it is once again rotated, step into Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino before May 26, 2016.
